The visual aesthetic of this series is deeply personal. Growing up as a child during the 1970s and 1980s, I spent countless hours in bookstores like Waldenbooks staring at the dense, textured cover art of the classic Oz books, Tarzan novels, and vintage pulp fantasy paperbacks. My goal is to recreate that sense of wonder—where a single striking image can keep a reader guessing at the story hidden inside for hours.

To achieve this level of visual immersion independently without the multi-thousand-dollar budget of a major corporate publisher, I utilize a modern, hybrid workflow:

• The Blueprint: Every illustration and cover begins entirely with my own original art concepts and reference sketches.

• The Enhancement: Generative AI is utilized strictly as a digital paintbrush to render, textures, and upscale these highly specific scenes or characters.

• The Final Polish: Every single output undergoes extensive, manual photo editing, composition adjustments, and hand-painted cleanups using Clip Studio Paint to ensure it aligns perfectly with the textual narrative.
