The doors of the Polycosmos are open—at least for conversation, speculation, questions, remembered details, favorite creatures, suspiciously well-timed coincidences, and the occasional argument concerning whether one should ever pull an unlabeled lever in the Etherodrome.
This is a gathering place for readers of The Chronicles of Ber’Ebrin: curious travelers, careful chroniclers, enthusiastic theorists, admirers of strange realms, and anyone who has emerged from a book with more questions than they had when they entered. Readers are welcome to discuss the books, characters, realms, mysteries, symbols, creatures, histories, artwork, influences, and the larger workings of the Polycosmos.
You are invited to share what delighted you, unsettled you, made you laugh, troubled you, or sent you back to an earlier chapter with a newly suspicious expression. The Chronicles are designed with long threads, hidden details, and revelations whose importance may not become clear until much later. A good theory is welcome. A clever observation is treasured. A wildly improbable theory may be especially welcome, provided it is offered in good faith and does not attempt to open a forbidden portal in the comments.
To keep this place hospitable for travelers of different ages and at different stages of the journey, please observe the following rules.

Be kind to other readers, even when they have misunderstood a character, favored the wrong imp, or reached a conclusion that appears to have been assembled from three clues, a teacup, and a particularly confident squirrel.

Discuss ideas, interpretations, and fictional characters freely—but do not insult, threaten, mock, harass, or diminish other people. The Polycosmos has enough monsters without bringing additional ones into the conversation.

Mark spoilers clearly. Do not reveal major plot turns, endings, identities, secret connections, later-book developments, or the fate of a character without an obvious spoiler warning.

Keep discussions appropriate for a cross-generational readership. The Chronicles welcome thoughtful readers of many ages; comments should remain suitable for that shared space.

Do not post spam, advertisements, unrelated links, promotional material, fraudulent offers, or messages designed chiefly to lure travelers into another person’s marketplace.

Do not share private information about yourself or anyone else, including home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, school locations, workplace information, or account credentials. A mystery is one thing; identity theft is quite another.

Respect copyright and the work of other artists and writers. Please do not post entire chapters, extensive excerpts, pirated copies, copied artwork, or material you do not have permission to share.

Fan art, reader artwork, quotations, theories, reviews, and respectful creative responses are welcome where a submission method is provided. Please identify your work clearly and do not submit material you expect the author to read privately, develop, edit, publish, or treat as a confidential idea.

Remember that not every question can be answered. Some doors in the Polycosmos are locked because the story has not yet reached them. Others are locked because the person with the key has misplaced it, and the imp responsible denies everything.

Speak With the Chronicler
Brent K. Newcomb welcomes thoughtful reader conversation about The Chronicles of Ber’Ebrin: the writing process, literary influences, fantasy and historical research, the creation of realms, character development, world-building, philosophical questions, illustrations, and the long-term construction of the series.
He may occasionally respond to comments, feature reader questions, discuss non-spoiler details from the books, or share glimpses of the work behind the Chronicles. Not every message will receive an individual reply, particularly during writing and publication periods, but sincere engagement is appreciated and noticed.
Please understand that the author cannot discuss unpublished plot developments, confirm or deny every theory, read unsolicited manuscripts, evaluate pitches, provide legal advice through this site, or accept confidential story ideas. Silence on a theory may mean it is wrong. It may mean it is nearly right. It may mean the relevant file has been sealed by the Etherodrome’s Department of Unfortunate Premature Revelations.
A Word About Spoilers
The Chronicles contain long-range connections, hidden clues, callbacks, mysteries, and developments meant to unfold over time. Please help preserve that discovery for new readers.
When discussing anything beyond the book page or post where you are commenting:

Begin the comment with SPOILER WARNING.

Identify the relevant book or books.

Keep revealing details behind an expandable spoiler feature when available.

Use vague language rather than names or outcomes when discussing sensitive developments in public spaces.

If you are uncertain whether something is a spoiler, treat it as one.
A reader should be able to enter the first portal without being handed a map of every place it leads.
Moderation and Passage
Comments and submissions may be moderated, edited for length or clarity, moved to a more appropriate location, or removed when they violate these guidelines or disrupt the community. Repeated or serious violations may result in blocked access to discussion spaces.
These rules are not intended to make the conversation timid. The realms are full of dangerous ideas, uncomfortable questions, flawed people, difficult choices, and arguments worth having. Readers may disagree—vigorously, even—so long as they do so with curiosity, fairness, and regard for the human being on the other side of the door.
The Etherodrome keeps many records. It does not require every visitor to agree. It does ask them not to set fire to the archives.
Closing invitation
Bring your theories. Bring your questions. Bring your favorite passage, your most baffling clue, your objection to a villain’s conduct, or your entirely reasonable concern that a talking object may know more than it is saying.
The story does not end when the book is closed. It waits—quietly, perhaps impatiently—on the other side of the next door.
